Google Brings Voice to Gmail Chat
by funtime on Aug.25, 2010, under Ramblings, Tech
Google has finally done something worth while with it’s Google Voice application. While you could always use it as a sort of ring everywhere primary phone number, who do we know that actually does that? I use my GV number for my resume because I can set it to do certain things. I also use it when selling stuff on Craigslist because then numbers and VMs are stored online for me to access later on. But now you can use GV to voice/video chat with people through your computer Skype style…only its free for any numbers in the US and Canada. Hell yes. I need to try this out ASAP.
Check out Lifehacker’s post on this, and there included video showing how it works.

I Know…I Know
by funtime on Aug.24, 2010, under Ramblings
I know it’s been nine months since I last posted anything and every time I do this I always say I am going to be better about updating the old blog and then never actually do anything to update the blog. Good news is this…I can now update my blog pretty regularly because my job is WICKED boring at night and there is literally NOTHING to do. So…look for more posts from me in the EXTREMELY near future.
As always…peace and love.

Sorry for the Lack of Updates!
by funtime on Dec.14, 2009, under Ramblings
I know its been awhile. I haven’t forgotten about my blog…just been kinda busy with other things lately and haven’t had much time for updating. I’ll try to be more vigilant when it comes to updating the blog and/or all 3-5 readers I have on what’s going on in my life.
Family Guy Jewish Jokes
by funtime on Oct.05, 2009, under Entertainment, Ramblings, TV Shows
The show Family Guy is much like South Park when it comes to making fun of Jews. And on that note…it is usually equally as funny when it gets down to the sheer hilarity of their jokes. Check out this video where Peter’s dad pretends to be Jewish to get out of work…..
How hilarious is that? Hahaha. I love that show.
Obama Thinks Kanye West Is A Jackass!
by funtime on Sep.16, 2009, under Ramblings
President Obama called Kanye West a “Jackass” for his ridiculous antics the other night on the MTV VMA awards, when Kanye took the microphone from Taylor Swift as she was delivering her acceptance speech for ‘Best Ladies Video’, declaring that Beyonce had “One of the best videos of all time”. Now, as we all have known for a VERY long time that Kanye is a douchebag, now it is official per the Executive Branch of our government. Hahahahah. Go Obama!

Blondes are an Endangered Species
by funtime on Sep.06, 2009, under Ramblings
According to an article by BBC News, natural blondes will die out within 200 years. They say people with blonde hair are an endangered species, and will become extinct by 2202. They also predict the last truly natural blonde will be born in Finland, the country with the highest proportion of blondes in the world.
I actually heard this was a rumor, and is not true…but I thought the article was entertaining anyway. Hahah.

Happy 40th Birthday Internet!!
by funtime on Sep.02, 2009, under Ramblings, Tech
It all started 40 years ago today, when a couple of computers were connected by a long gray cable in order to pass some data. The experiment was funded by the Advanced Projects Research Agency (ARPA) and the project was called the ARPANET. By the end of the year, four sites were connected. Today it’s hundreds of millions of computers and we call it the Internet.
National Geographic has a story and some video here.
Wikipedia has a nice timeline for the ARPANET here.
